I hadn't intended to do a review of the year this time round, but I needed to have an article to kick off my new blog, so it seemed like a good place to start.
When I sat down to put the content for this review together (about 3 days ago) I thought it would be quite straightforward. Post a bunch of images I liked from the year, add a bit of text and share it on SM. It then evolved into something a little reflective and personal, but that didn't feel right either. It felt all a little bit too much about 'me', and I don't want to bore you with that.
So, I decided to instead use the opportunity to just say thank you. There have been some really good moments, as well as some lows and a lack of motivation at times, but I've made some good friends in the photography community over the last 12 months and I appreciate the support you have offered me.
I'm sure that I can be a bloody nuisance to Lottie and the kids at times with my photography, but without their support, I wouldn't have got this far
Now, I did decide to include a few pictures that summed up my year, and they all bring back fond memories of the last 12 months. Unsurprisingly, there's a bit of everything - snowy landscapes, butterflies, gigs, portraits and some abstract work.
I hope everyone had a good New Year, and that you keep doing what makes you happy in 2019.
